Little Explorers for ages 0-2
When it comes to play our youngest little pioneers are encouraged to explore toys and resources that provoke their curiosity helping them to develop their grip and confidence.
Resources are accessible at their height with shiny, texture rich and scented treasures well within their reach all hosted within a soft calm environment.
Lots of songs, stories and baby signing mean we’re big on communication from a young age to help children understand how they can get what they want from an early age!
Little Creators for ages 2-3
We believe children should find their environment exciting and stimulating.
For us that means really understanding what children are interested in and what they need to help them develop so we set up our rooms to stimulate a desire to explore and get stuck into a great day of play.
We also make use of children’s councils to make sure we’re getting it right!
Little Learners Pre-school
Our Little Learners are starting to gear up for the next stage of their life, school!
We help get children ready for school in a way they can understand and get excited about. Our qualified teachers in Little Learners continue to nurture children’s academic and emotional development to set children up for a great transition at their pace.
Children are encouraged to make their own choices, to listen and to contribute, we do all we can to help them grow in confidence and independence ready for their next stage.

Committed to making a difference in our communities.
Being socially responsible is really important at Your Co-op Little Pioneers.
We are committed to making a positive difference to our communities and we think the best way to help our pre-schoolers understand the part they can play here is to get them out and about.
One of our regular visits is out to local care homes to spend time with the residents, we see real benefits for the children in learning empathy alongside building confidence and social skills.

We promise to keep you updated.
We want you to think of us as part of your extended family which means when it comes to doing the best for your child we’re partners.
As well as making ourselves available at any time face to face, over the phone or e-mail we promise to keep you updated with feedback on your child’s development and how we can collaboratively work on the same things in nursery and at home – yes that means the ABCs but we’re also experts when it comes to support with things like toilet training.

We make learning fun!
Our approach to development is holistic. We know how to make learning fun incorporating music and movement into our everyday to improve language or putting dinosaurs in slime to support numeracy, but Little Pioneers goes beyond school readiness and education.
We help children foster friendships and understand how to be a great friend, we encourage them to understand their impact on the world, we embrace inclusivity, diversity and culture and support children to be independent, inquisitive and confident.

growing Garden
Learning where food comes from.
Our chef likes to use the freshest ingredients in our yummy meals so where better to get them than from our own garden!
Ok so we’d struggle to feed the hungry tummies all year round from just our growing patch, but we do encourage our children to sow, grow and eat from the garden.
Nurturing plants, understanding where food comes from and the importance of a balanced healthy diet are all part of the day for our Little Pioneers.

Freedom to play outside.
Getting outside whatever the weather is good for the soul, whether its wellies or sun hats on we take every opportunity to get outside and explore all the fun of our gardens.
We purposefully have lots of climbing equipment to help children with their balance, assess risk and build confidence...under our watchful eyes.

Creating friendships
Building a community and making long lasting friendships.
Sometimes we all need someone to talk to, being responsible for a child is a pretty big job before you add in work and just general life!
Nursery is a perfect place for not only children but our families to build friendships. We have a parent representative group who share thoughts on nursery and suggest improvements regularly and they also provide a community lifeline.
As well as always being available ourselves we’re happy to connect families together because sometimes you just need to ask if you’re doing this parenting thing right.

Nature and Wildlife
Looking after our environment and making a difference.
We use being amongst nature and wildlife to inspire children to think about why we love the world around us and what we can do to care for it.
We have a children’s eco-committee who look at topics like energy, litter and water and then they decide what action the nursery should take to make a difference.
Environmental themes are part of the curriculum and children love to get mums and dads involved in their quest for a greener planet.

Take some time out in our parent room
Take the pressure off rushing around to drop off or pick up or simply get a change of scenery by working from nursery.
We have a designated space just for you, great Wi-Fi, coffee on tap…and biscuits.
It’s the perfect space to grab some time to yourself even if it’s just to catch up on life admin or read a book.
In the early days you might even get some comfort at not being too far away as your child is settling into their adventure with us.

Taking care of your baby and ensuring they settle in.
Nurturing your babies from their very first day we make sure our caring team offer a home from home schedule that works for you from sleep routines through to cuddles and comfort.
All our new families are encouraged to attend as many free ‘settling in’ sessions as they need where we’ll ask lots of questions so we understand what works for you and how nursery can help your little one have a great day.
